Your TCG Card Shop Simulator Journey

Five tracks that take a bare shop floor to a staffed store with tables turning over income every hour.

What You Can Look Up Here

Ten reference modules covering every system in the game, from the opening wholesale order to the tournament endgame, all built from the same source data.

TCG Card Shop Simulator Beginner Guide

The first week decides whether your shop survives. This module covers the opening loop in order: buying wholesale stock, placing shelves and displays, setting a markup customers will actually pay, and covering the daily electricity and counter bills before you spend anything on expansion.

Read the beginner guide
1

Buy your first booster boxes through the Stock Order app — sealed product is cheaper at wholesale than anything you can resell at a loss

2

Place shelves so customers can reach every unit; a shopper who cannot find a listed item leaves without buying

3

Set prices near the market value at first — a markup above roughly 60 percent drops the buy chance close to zero

4

Manned the register yourself early. Queue length is the fastest way to lose a paying customer

5

Keep the floor clean. Grime drives customers out before they reach the counter, and it also stops play table players from returning

6

Reinvest the first profits into more stock and one upgrade rather than saving — throughput beats a bank balance in the early game

TCG Card Shop Simulator Pricing & Economy

Profit is a markup problem. This module documents how the buy chance falls as you raise prices, how the TCG Price app reports market value, what your fixed daily costs actually are, and how to time big sales around events that move whole categories of cards.

Work out the pricing
1

Price at market value to keep roughly a 90 percent buy chance; going 20 percent above it already costs you a quarter of your customers

2

A 40 percent markup leaves only about a 15 percent chance of a sale, and beyond 60 percent customers effectively never buy

3

Check the TCG Price app before setting singles — market value moves and a stale price quietly kills your margin

4

Budget the fixed bleed: electricity runs per real minute on top of a flat daily fee per checkout counter

5

Watch the customer list mechanic — richer shoppers carry more money and tolerate higher prices

6

Stockpile before an event that boosts a category, then sell into the spike rather than competing during it

TCG Card Shop Simulator Shop Layout & Upgrades

Floor space is your real currency: every shelf has a limited volume and every checkout counter adds a daily cost. This module covers layout planning, restocking, expansion through Shop Lot B, and the cleanliness systems that keep customers from walking out mid-shop.

Plan the shop floor
1

Group product by type and keep a clear path from the door to the register — customers path to shelves, not to you

2

Match shelf capacity to item volume; big boxed product on small shelves wastes both the shelf and the sale

3

Add a second register only when the first queue actually backs up, since each counter adds a daily fee

4

Install auto sprayers early — hygiene affects both shoppers and the players paying to sit at your tables

5

Expand for capacity, not for looks. More floor only pays back if you can afford the stock to fill it

6

Unlocking Shop Lot B raises your customer ceiling further but adds a permanent per-minute electricity charge

TCG Card Shop Simulator Tetramon Decks & Duels

1.0 turns the in-game card game into something you actually play. Build a Tetramon deck at the workbench against the rulebook, then duel customers in matches that run a few minutes each — an Ascension-era addition that gives your singles a second purpose.

Build a deck
1

Read the rulebook at the workbench first — it covers costs, turns and win conditions for the printed card game

2

Build around one element rather than mixing all four, since cards reward a consistent damage type

3

Tune the deck against the opponents you actually face; customer decks scale as your shop levels up

4

Keep spare copies of your deck's key cards instead of selling them — the singles are worth more in the deck than in the case

5

Dueling is NPC-only; there is no player-versus-player mode and no cross-platform matchmaking

6

Tournament play arrived with 1.0 and is the endgame goal for a completed deck

What is TCG Card Shop Simulator?

TCG Card Shop Simulator is a first-person management sim about running a local trading card store. You buy booster packs and boxed product at wholesale, decide how to lay out shelves and displays, set your own prices, and watch customers either buy, browse or walk out based on what you charge.

4,436 Collectible Cards

Six border prints, four elements and multiple set families give the collection real depth, so the same creature can be bulk stock or a case piece.

Self-Set Pricing

You set every price. The buy chance falls as you push above market, which turns pricing into a decision instead of a formality.

Playable Tetramon

Build a deck at the workbench and duel your own customers in short matches, with tournaments rounding out the 1.0 release.

Staff & Automation

Nine workers unlock between level 10 and 45. Split the till and restocking duties so the shop keeps trading without you.

The twist is that you can open the product yourself. Cracking packs feeds a collection of 4,436 cards spread across multiple sets and six border prints, and any card you do not keep can be graded or sold on for a profit. Since the 1.0 update the shop also ships a playable card game called Tetramon: build a deck at the workbench, host tables with a chosen event and fee, and duel your own customers in short matches.

Card Borders & Pull Rates

Six border prints decide what a pull is actually worth. Pull-rate figures are community-tested rather than official, so treat them as directional.

Card Sets & Pack Families

View All

Which family you order decides what your customers can find. The 1.0 release grew the catalogue to 4,436 cards, with Ascension carrying most of the additions.

Play Table Events

Each event charges a daily cost and moves one category of card up while pushing another down, so the right choice depends on what is already on your shelves.

TCG Card Shop Simulator FAQ

How do I start a profitable shop in TCG Card Shop Simulator?+

Buy stock before anything else. Order a modest amount of sealed product, get it onto shelves where customers can reach it, and price it close to market value so it actually sells. Stay on the register yourself to keep the queue short, because a customer who leaves without paying costs more than a thin markup does. Only once you can cover the daily electricity and counter fees should you spend on expansion, furniture or staff.

What is the fastest way to make money?+

Throughput beats margin. Stock what customers are actually asking for, price near market so the shelf keeps turning over, and reinvest the proceeds in more stock rather than in floor space you cannot fill. Play tables add income that does not consume inventory, and hosting an event that lifts a category you already hold lets you sell into a price spike. Chasing high markups usually backfires, because customers simply walk out.

Should I open packs or sell them sealed?+

Selling sealed gives you a known margin immediately, while opening is a gamble whose expected value depends on the border distribution, which has never been officially published. A practical split is to sell most product sealed and open a deliberate portion for your own collection or for a Tetramon deck. Shift the ratio toward opening when a specific card is what you need, and toward sealed when cash flow matters most.

Is card grading worth the cost?+

Grading through Cardinal's Grading is worth it when the card is valuable enough that a high grade meaningfully outsells a raw copy, and it is a waste when the card is bulk stock. Community data describes a four-tier service with a 1 to 10 scoring scale and a re-grade option, but those probabilities are player-tested rather than official, so treat grading as a calculated bet rather than a guaranteed upgrade on a rare pull.

When should I hire workers?+

Hire once ordinary trading comfortably covers a daily salary without eating your restocking budget. Wages are charged whether the shop is busy or not, so hiring early converts a healthy balance into a slow drain. The practical trigger is the moment you keep leaving the till to restock, because that is when a second pair of hands adds revenue rather than just cost. Workers unlock from shop level 10 upward.

How do play tables make money?+

Customers pay the fee you set to sit down and play, so a table earns without consuming stock. Each event you run adds a daily cost and shifts the market for one category of card, lifting it while pushing another down. Table income also scales with your average review score, which is driven by cleanliness and fair pricing, so keeping the shop tidy and reasonably priced directly increases what every table earns.

How does the Tetramon card game work?+

Tetramon became fully playable with the 1.0 release. You build a deck at the workbench using cards from your own collection, read the rulebook there to understand costs, turns and win conditions, and then duel your customers in short matches that run a few minutes each. Opponent decks scale with your shop level, and there is no player-versus-player mode, so the competitive ceiling is the tournament structure added at launch.
